Dear Amena,

I know that you have made contact with Pauline Mills, asking about the testing that we do.  I trained Pauline 18 months ago. She sat in with me on many testing sessions for about 6 months, following being trained in the use of the Dietx machine by Fiona Gibson of Asknutrition.  Following the Asknutrition two day course she did not feel confident, either in the use of the machine, or in her knowledge of food intolerance.

Concurrent with observing and listening to me work, Pauline undertook the BSY Diploma in Allergies: Testing and Treatment, as she recognised that she needed more knowledge about the subject.

Pauline is now working nearly full time at food intolerance, and nearly all her clients come to her by word of mouth, which is testament to her knowledge and skill.

I have been testing people for 21 years, first with a vega machine, and in the last few years with a Dietx machine.  The vega machine can get a bad press, and in insufficiently trained personnel is undoubtedly unreliable, for many reasons. [If you wish to know more detail of why this might be, please ask.]  I find the machine is a useful tool, and this is borne out my results.

My knowledge has increased massively over the years.  I have kept reams of data, and I know how well I do with individual symptoms.

Now your interest is obviously in eczema.

When I tested and followed up every person that I tested in 2012, eczema sufferers gained 95% average improvement in children, and 92% average improvement in adults. I do not have time now to do these follow up questionnaires, as I am too busy.  But because I ask anyone who is not better within a week or ten days to come back for a bit more testing [ no charge] , I am confident that the results this year are as good if not better than in 2012.  Only one client with skin issues this year has seen no improvement. I have tested 123 people this year who suffer eczema, dermatitis, rash or itch.

One very important fact that is VERY apparent in both Pauline and my testing is that just about every eczema sufferer does not get completely better until they stop using all the ‘normal’ clothes washing products, [ even Persil non-bio, which NES recommends] and all fabric conditioners.  We test many different brands, and the only one that we can recommend is Surcare.

Because I have so much information now, I am becoming confident about enabling improvement in symptoms, even without testing, and can suggest sample exclusion diets, and other things to do with certain symptoms.  To that end I will shortly [within the next week] be including access to the information that I have in the form of pdfs, which will soon be going live on my website. This will be a service where people can access information about suggested diets, [based on the stats that I have], I shall have 42 fact sheets which people can buy for £1 each or £10 for all 42. Based on my experience and the data that I have collected, people can tap in to my knowledge about not only skin conditions, but headaches, migraine, IBS, catarrh, asthma non seasonal rhinitis, child behaviour problems. This I hope will help people who cannot afford a test, or live too far away to get to me or Pauline.  I have a book coming out in a few months. I have a publisher, and it is just about to go for editing.

Please find attached my eczema fact sheet, and a suggested elimination diet for children.

Something that you would do well to be aware of is the fact that if someone avoids the foods that they are intolerant of for 3 months, then they [in nearly all circumstances] will be able to eat those foods again.  The most commonly implicated foods are frequently used  daily foods or drinks.

Please see 2 attached case histories as examples.
